Ladies’ Christmas Party (Springville, 2025)

All the ladies of the CCCC Parish Family are invited to a Christmas Dinner Party held at the St. Aloysius Parish Hall.

This is on Monday December 1, 2025 starting at 4:00 pm with dinner at 5:00 pm.

Please join us for an evening of food, fellowship and fun.

A free will offering for the event will be accepted.

Hospice & Palliative Care Info Session (Buffalo, November 19, 2025)

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.

OLV Basilica invites you to an information session presented by Lynn Riker, Director of Community Outreach for Hospice and Palliative Care Buffalo.

This session will include understanding the difference between Hospice and Palliative Care, when it’s appropriate, benefits to the patient and family, the conversation about how loved ones want to live in their last months, weeks and days, and much more.

When: Wednesday, November 19th, 2025 at OLV Basilica, 767 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna, in the Community Room in the Lower Level, following the 12:10pm Mass.

Is God Calling You to Serve as a Deacon? (Dunkirk, Early November, 2025)

The Permanent Diaconate is a ministry of service, word, and charity in the Catholic Church. Deacons are ordained to assist the bishop and priests in proclaiming the Gospel, preaching, baptizing, witnessing marriages, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and serving those most in need. If you are a man of prayer with a heart for service between the age of 31 and 55 — married or single — who feels called to deepen your commitment to Christ and His Church, consider discerning the call to the diaconate.

Learn more about this vocation by attending an information session being held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 7 PM at Holy Trinity Church, 1032 Central Ave. Dunkirk, NY 14048.

Help Wanted: Bingo (2025)

HELP WANTED! Bingo is the largest fundraising activity at our family of parishes.

It contributes $20,000 – $30,000 each year to the support of all the churches in the Cattaraugus Creek Catholic Community.

We rely on volunteers from all the worship sites to successfully run Bingo each week.

We are in need of more volunteers for both the Bingo Floor and the Kitchen – only one Wednesday evening per month.

St. Joseph Bake Sale (Holland, December, 2025)

The St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society will be holding their annual Christmas Bake Sale and Basket Raffle: December 7th, 2025 before and after Mass.

Tickets for the raffle will go on sale November 30, 2025.

Donations of baked goods for the sale will be gratefully accepted and should be brought to church December 7, 2025.

The Altar and Rosary Society meets every third Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm and we always begin our meetings with the recitation of the Holy Rosary.

New members are always welcome.

Challenging Spiritual Exercise Group for Men (2025)

EXODUS 90 is a strenuous 90-day spiritual exercise for men.

Designed to shift your spiritual life into 5th gear, the program embraces three fundamental components of the Christian life: Prayer, Asceticism, and Fraternity.

Prayer Shawl Ministry (2025)

Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every Thursday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

All are welcome.

The shawls are blessed and free to anyone who like them for someone struggling physically or emotionally.

We have in the past also given some shawls to nursing homes in the area.

New members always welcome too!
