Bingo Chicken BBQ — St. Al’s — Fundraiser (September 2024)

St. Aloysius Parish Bingo will be hosting a Krolick’s Chicken BBQ Fundraising Event on Sunday, September 8 (2024), in the St. Aloysius Parish Hall to raise funds for a new Bingo Machine!

St. Aloysius Bingo is an incredible fun night out and service to people in our surrounding communities, and it would not be possible without the talents and generous time commitments of the parishioners of our Cattaraugus Creek Catholic Community family of parishes.

We are in need of donated items to make the dinner and fundraising activities a success. We are asking for donations of beverages (soda, water, coffee) and desserts (cookies, brownies, cakes, pies) to complement the Krolick’s chicken dinner. We will also be having a Theme-Basket Raffle that Deb Gernatt is in charge of. Please contact her with any questions or to arrange a drop off. There will also be a Next-to-New Sale, and Gently-Used Book Sale in addition to various raffles at the fundraising event.

Beverage donations, prepared theme-baskets, and gently-used household, toy, game, and books may be dropped off at the St. Als Parish Hall on Wednesday evenings during August from 6:00 – 9:00 pm during Bingo and Saturday, September 7 (2024) from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the St. Aloysius Parish Hall. Dessert donations may be dropped off at the St. Aloysius Parish Hall on Sunday, September 8 (2024) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Presale Krolick’s Chicken BBQ tickets ($16) will be available starting August 7th (2024) during Bingo on Wednesday evenings in the St. Aloysius Parish Hall, after Masses at the CCCC Family Parishes (dates to be determined), and at the St. Aloysius Parish Rectory.

WACY Golf Tournament & Basket Raffle (2024)

  • 1:00 pm Prayer Service
  • 1:30 pm Basket Drawing (Get your tickets between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm)

Ways to be involved: Sponsor a hole, donate a basket or gift certificate, do a Memorial for a loved one, golf in tournament, come to dinner, basket raffle….

Postponed: Catholic Women’s Conference — Encountering Boundless Love (2024)

Important Update:

The Mercy: Encountering Boundless Love Conference is being postponed to November 8, 2025 and will be held at Our Lady of Victory National Shrine and Basilica.

Please save the date, and details will be shared once registration is open.

We hope to arrange a carpool for anyone who is interested in going, but would be deterred because of the drive.

There will be a Wine, Women and Wisdom Hope and Healing event on October 5th in the early evening with two of the original conference speakers that we hope will minister to those who are able to attend.

Mercy: Encountering Boundless Love Catholic Women’s Conference

WINE: Women In the New Evangelization invites women of all ages and stages to ignite their hearts at the WINE: Catholic Women’s Conference on Oct. 5, 2024, at St. Aloysius in Springville, NY.

This year’s theme is Mercy: Encountering Boundless Love.

Join women from our diocese and beyond for a conference filled with inspiration, faith, fellowship, and fun! Beginning with Mass at 8 a.m., followed by time for registration and a few snacks, the conference will officially start at 9:00 a.m.

Keynote speakers, Maria Vargo (singer, speaker, and actress who played St. Faustina), LeAnn Thieman (nationally acclaimed professional speaker, author, and nurse), and Kelly Wahlquist (Catholic author, speaker, and WINE: Women In the New Evangelization) will light our hearts on fire with faith-filled inspirational talks. Emcee Alyssa Bormes (Catholic author, speaker, and scripture teacher) will entertain us and keep our day moving.

Along with inspirational talks, the day will include motivational entertainment, shopping, personal time to pray with prayer teams, confession, adoration, tons of laughter, a fabulous lunch, shopping, chocolate, door prizes, and a fun raffle!

Conference will end with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:15 pm.

Josh Allen Jersey — St. Jude Raffle (2024)

A framed Josh Allen jersey will be raffled at St. Jude Church on September 7th (2024) after the 5 p.m. Mass.

Tickets are available now and will be available until the drawing for $10 for one and $25 for three chances.

Tickets will be sold after Masses during July and August (2024) or email Kathy Kreis.

St. John’s Clothes Closet — August & September 2024

❌  St John’s Clothes Closet (West Valley) is not accepting donations of any type through the month of August (2024).

✅  In September 2024, fall and winter clothing will be accepted as well as household items.

School Supply Donations (2024)

Paper and Pencils Together is a school supply ministry of Love INC and is supported by our church.

All donations will help students in the Springville elementary and middle schools.

Please check the poster in the foyer (Editor’s note: this probably refers to St. Aloysius church foyer), choose one or more items to purchase, and deposit items in the basket under the table by Sunday, August 11th (2024).
