A FAMILY NAME HAS BEEN SELECTED!

The votes have been counted and tallied. The new name for our Family of Parishes will be Cattaraugus Creek Catholic Community.

The final vote count was 105 votes for ‘Cattaraugus Creek Catholic Community,’ 20 votes for ‘Devoted Disciples of Christ the Redeemer’ and 48 votes for ‘Holy Shepherd Pastoral Community.’

The name of each individual parish remains the same.

As a family we will be operating as ‘Cattaraugus Creek Catholic Community.’

The next step is to create a logo that will go along with the new family name. The entry form and rules for your design of a family logo can be found in your bulletin insert (bulletin of July 30, 2023). All designs must be emailed to staloy@roadrunner.com and received by August 14th.

Beginning next weekend, August 5th & 6th (2023), the bulletin will have a new look. The same bulletin will be distributed at all the parishes in our family, The ‘Cattaraugus Creek Catholic Community,’ of:

• St. Mary’s in Arcade & East Arcade
• St. Jude’s in Sardinia
• St. John the Baptist in West Valley
• St. Aloysius in Springville

It will contain the news of each parish. To that end, any bulletin announcements that you would like included in the new family bulletin, should be sent to Tracey at ccccbulletineditor@roadrunner.com. All information needs to be received by 2:00 pm the Monday before the weekend you desire your announcement to be printed.

Monday, July 31, 2023: Lawn Fete grounds set up 6:00 pm.

Saturday, August 5, 2023: Final grounds set-up for Lawn Fete from 10 am to 4 pm.

Sunday, August 6, 2023: Lawn Fete!! 🙂

Monday, August 7, 2023: Tear down of booths and final clean up of grounds beginning at 6:00 pm.
