Food Drive @ St. Joseph, Holland (March 2026)

The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Joseph’s Church will be sponsoring a food drive during the month of March (2026) to benefit the Bread of Life Outreach in Colden.

Donations of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products (e.g., toothbrush and paste, shampoo, deodorant, paper products, facial tissue, toilet paper) should be placed in the bins and baskets located in the church vestibule and basement (St. Joseph, Holland).

There is a need for protein-based food items such as spam and tuna fish so please take that into consideration when purchasing food.

The drive will run from March 1, 2026 to March 22, 2026.

Potluck Lunches: St. Joseph, Holland (Spring 2026)

St. Joseph’s in Holland will be holding a potluck lunch on the 2nd Sunday of the month following the 11:00 am Mass (during Spring 2026).

The next one is March 8, 2026.

Everyone is invited to attend and please bring a dish to pass.

We will be hosting these through the Springtime. Thank you!

Scholarship Contest – St. Thomas More Guild (2026)

One $1,200 scholarship will be awarded to a student attending a Catholic elementary school, and one $1,600 scholarship will be awarded to a student attending a Catholic high school.

In addition, the Guild also offers a $2,000 scholarship to a student attending either a Catholic college or an ABA-accredited law school.

Submission deadline is April 10, 2026.

Awards will be presented at the Annual Luncheon on May 27, 2026 at the Buffalo Convention Center.

St. Aloysius Coffee Hour; Lenten Product Drive (2026)

Coffee Hour

Please join us for Coffee Hour in St. Aloysius Parish Hall on Sunday, March 1 (2026) after the 10:30 am Mass.

Lenten Product Drive

The St. Aloysius Altar Society Lenten Project is a “Personal Products” supply drive for the Springville Food Pantry.

They are always in need of paper towels, facial tissues and toilet paper. Also soap, shampoo, feminine products, and toothpaste can be included along with laundry detergent.

Collection bins will be behind the pews in St. Aloysius Church from March 1 to March 22, 2026.

Women’s Book Club (Springville, 2026)

The CCCC Women’s Book Club will be offering The Friendship Project. We meet in the St. Aloysius Parish Hall in Springville.

We will meet on Thursdays from 9:00 am – 10:30 am starting April 9, 2026 through May 28, 2026.

We always have room for more.

End Hunger: CRS Rice Bowl (2026)

This Lent, our community will participate in CRS Rice Bowl — connecting our prayers, fasting and almsgiving to encounter God through our global family.

We’ll meet, pray for and learn from families in Ghana, Guatemala and Timor-Leste who are rising above the challenges of hunger and malnutrition.

St. Joseph Prayer Shawl Ministry (2026)

St. Joseph’s Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every Thursday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. (This information current as of February 15, 2026.)

All are welcome. The shawls are blessed and free to anyone who would like them for someone struggling physically or emotionally.

We have in the past also given some shawls to nursing homes in the area. New members always welcome too!

St. Joe’s Annual Fish Fry will be held at St. Joseph’s in Holland on Friday, February 27 (2026) starting at 4:00 pm.
