If you need a statement of your contributions to the parish for tax purposes, Tricia will gladly send you one. Simply let her know by contacting the business office at St. Aloysius in Springville.
She is in the business office at St. Al’s every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to noon, or you can leave her a message.

St. Mary, Arcade, will be hosting an Ash Wednesday Fish Fry on February 18th, 2026. Pre-sale tickets will be available at Masses and at the parish office.

Alpha is a series of sessions that explore the foundations of the Christian faith in a welcoming environment. Each session begins with food and connections, followed by a talk and open discussion. All are welcome.
Alpha will begin Thursday, January 15 (2026) at 6:30 pm at St Mary’s Arcade worship site. The sessions will rotate locations within our parish family throughout the season.

Praying for deceased relatives and friends is an act of faith, hope and charity.
One way you can honor your deceased loved one is to have a Mass offered for them. The suggested offering for a Mass intention is $15.
You may call the parish secretary or drop a note in the collection basket. Please specify at which worship site you would like the Mass offered. Print the name of the intention and who it is being offered by clearly with your telephone number and your payment.

St John’s Community Clothes closet is continuing to serve those in need.
We are open on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and are located off Depot Street in the former St. John’s Parish Hall in West Valley.
Donations of clean and gently used clothing, books and household goods are gratefully accepted.
There is a collection box in the vestibule at St. Aloysius to place donations in if you can’t make it to West Valley.
Monetary donations can be made payable to: St. Mary’s Parish, with St John’s Clothes Closet in the memo line.

Father Gales, who was born in Baltimore, was a musical prodigy. In his youth, he performed as a concert pianist at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2021, he professed Final Vows with the SVD and was ordained to the priesthood in 2022.
Current pastor of Our Lady of Africa, Fr. Gales helped merge together five parishes through the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Renew My Church process.

St. Joseph’s Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every Thursday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. All are welcome. The shawls are blessed and free to anyone who would like them for someone struggling physically or emotionally.
We have in the past also given some shawls to nursing homes in the area. New members always welcome too!
