St. Nick Tree, 2021

Posted: November 10, 2021

Coming Soon! St. Nick Tree

Each year we have helped families in the Arcade area who are in need at Christmas time.

If you would like to help a family in need, tags will be handed out after Masses on November 20th and 21st.

Gifts should be returned no later than December 11th and 12th.

This year, due to the pandemic, a representative will be in the vestibule and hand you a tag which will include the child’s name, age and size.

(For more information, please see the bulletin of November 14, 2021.)

All Saints’ Day (2021): No Holy Day of Obligation

Posted: October 22, 2021

From the bulletin,

November 1st [2021] is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year.

In other news,

November 2nd is the Feast of All Souls as we remember our beloved deceased that have gone before us.

This year, as we remember all of our beloved deceased, we will use our envelope for All Souls. There is a place on the back to write the name of your departed loved ones. These envelopes will be placed on the altar at both worship sites as we remember them at masses.

Fall 2021 Religious Ed. to be Home-Schooled

Posted: September 30, 2021

The following is an edited excerpt from the bulletin of October 3, 2021.

Our Religious Education Program was scheduled to begin on October 10th, but I have heard from some families who have chosen to home school their children again this year. Not all of our teachers are coming back to teach this year and some families are wondering about the safety of our children wearing a mask and not able to be vaccinated. So, what shall we do?!

After many days of prayer, I believe we should, once again this year, choose to home school our children for the safety of all. Miss Karen Pauly will help the parents, as she did last year, with the home schooling materials. She will be in touch with all the families that have already registered. If you have not registered yet and were planning on doing so at the first session, please call Karen. Her phone number is on the front of the bulletin.
