Lenten Penance Services (April 4, 2022)

As we look forward to beginning the process of becoming a Family of Parishes in October of this year, the parishes of

  • St. Aloysius, Springville
  • St. John the Baptist, West Valley
  • St. Jude, Sardinia
  • St. Mary, Arcade/East Arcade

…would like to invite all of our parishioners to join us for a Lenten Penance Service on Monday, April 4th (2022).

Fr. Al Osiander, Fr. Joe Gullo and Fr. Dan Fawls will be present for a brief Penance Service followed by individual confessions.

We will have two penance services on Monday, April 4th (2022):

  • 3:00 p.m. – St. Aloysius Church, Springville.
  • 7:00 p.m. – St. Mary’s Church, Arcade.

We invite all parishioners from our Family of Parishes to join us, if you are able, as we prepare to become one family.

Palm Sunday Cantata (2022)

Latest Update (4-24-2022): The Palm Sunday Cantata has been rescheduled and will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022. It will be held at 3:00 PM at Hope Lutheran Church, 2 East Main St., Arcade NY.

Please note that our Arcade Worship Site will also be holding Adoration and a Divine Mercy Chaplet on Sunday, April 24, 2022 — for more information click here.

Important Update: The Palm Sunday Cantata has been canceled for Sunday, April 10, 2022. It is unclear why the cancellation occurred, and it is also unclear if it may be rescheduled. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

On Sunday, April 10 (2022), the Palm Sunday Cantata will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Main Street in Arcade, at [time canceled].All are invited to attend.

Ash Wednesday Schedule (2022)

February is going so fast. Lent will be here before you know it.

The Ash Wednesday Schedule for our parish is as follows:

Ash Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022

Arcade — 12:00 noon: Mass & Distribution of Ashes

East Arcade — 5:00 pm: Mass & Distribution of Ashes

Note: We won’t be having our annual Ash Wednesday Fish Fry this year. Hope you are staying warm in this weather we are having.

“Souper” Sunday Food Drive (2022)

The “Souper” Sunday food drive to support our PAC/food pantry will be on the weekend of February 13th, 2022.

A box for your generous donations of nonperishable goods will be in the vestibule at both Worship sites.

March for Life (2022)

National March For Life, Washington D.C. Thursday, Jan 20 through Jan 23, 2022

Join others from the Archdiocese (and thousands from across the country) at the National March for Life in Washington DC, from January 20 ?- 23rd, 2022! This will be an opportunity to share our voice as a local community in prayer and action for the legal protection of the unborn. We look forward to meeting together as an Archdiocesan group and participating in March for Life events in DC.

Individuals, couples and families are welcome to join — together, let’s stand for the unborn!

Mass on January 1, 2022

The Mass in celebration of the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, is Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Arcade Worship Site.

There will be no 5:00 pm vigil Mass that day (Saturday, January 1, 2022.)

The official, corrected Mass times for Christmas 2021:

December 24, 2021 — Christmas Eve:
Arcade: 4:00 p.m.
East Arcade: 7:30 p.m.

December 25, 2021 – Christmas Day:
Arcade: 9:00 a.m.
(NOTE: There is no 5:00 p.m. Mass on Christmas Day.)

December 26, 2021 – Holy Family Sunday:
Arcade: 8:30 a.m.
East Arcade: 10:30 a.m.

Drive-Through Living Nativity (2021)

Greetings from Saints Joachim and Anne Parish. We cordially invite you and your parish families to experience our Drive Through Living Nativity on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Step back into time and immerse yourself into a place from many years ago and witness the true meaning of Christmas, “The Birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ.”

Pop cans or monetary donations gratefully accepted for All Babies Cherished. This organization is a woman and children’s mission in Batavia that provides assistance to local woman during their pregnancy and child rearing.
