November: Remembering Our Beloved Deceased (2022)

Posted: November 1, 2022

Dear Parishioners,

November is the month to remember all of our beloved deceased who have gone before us. Many people have masses offered for their loved ones remembering their birthdays and the date they entered into eternal life.

We also offer the Tabernacle Candle in memory of the deceased or for the intentions of friends and loved ones.

We are having the All Souls envelopes with your loved ones names on them, placed on the altar. They will be remembered at all the Masses said at both worship sites during the month of November.

Have a blessed week!

God Blessings Always,
Fr. Joe Gullo

Road to Renewal: Fall 2022 (Updated)

Posted: October 10, 2022

As we continue the Road to Renewal, the remaining Families will be designated to be formed within two Phases. Each Phase will consist of the following stages:

Activation Stage

Parishes begin developing a Family Council and Family Action Plan. This phase lasts six months.

  • Phase 1 Family of Parishes will commence this stage October 1, 2022.
  • Phase 2 Family of Parishes will commence this stage May 1, 2023.

Inauguration Stage

The date on which a Family of Parishes begins functioning as a Family.

  • Phase 1 Family of Parishes are estimated to be inaugurated May 1, 2023.
  • Phase 2 Family of Parishes are estimated to be inaugurated November 1, 2023.

More Details about Road to Renewal

Activation Stage: The purpose of the Activation Stage is to allow the parishes of the Family to work on the six Pillars that make up being Church. These Pillars are:

  • Liturgy
  • Spiritual Life
  • Forming Disciples
  • Out Reach/In Reach
  • Stewardship
  • Administration

Pillar Groups are formed to identify how the Family will organize and perform the work within these Pillars. Your thoughts and skills are important to the successful launch of our Family — please consider joining one of these Pillar Groups.

Family Action Plan: The goal of the six month Activation Stage for each Family is to collaborate on the creation of a FAMILY ACTION PLAN, which will define goals, strategies, expected outcomes, and creative solutions for reaching a vibrant future characterized by spiritual vitality and fiscal responsibility to attract new members of the Family. This Family Action Plan will guide each Family over the course of the next 3-5 years.

Administration Pillar: The Administration Pillar encompasses the practical challenges of functioning together as a Family. Jesus’ words above also prompt the question: “Do we just view administration as a spiritually barren necessity for the Church, or, a never-ending series of opportunities to encounter God?” Here are some of the functions that the Administration Pillar entails:

  • Human Resources Compensation
  • Benefits & Policies
  • Safe Environment
  • Governing/Family
  • Leadership
  • Central Office
  • Processes/Onsite Hours
  • Personnel
  • Budgeting/Finances
  • Communications
  • Data/Reporting
  • Security/Compliance

Your thoughts and skills are important to the successful launch of our Family — if your background or expertise lends to any of these areas, please consider joining one of the Pillar Groups by contacting the parish office.

Note: St. Mary’s is part of the “Phase 1” Family of Parishes referenced above.

As we continue down the Road to Renewal, please don’t forget to visit our website at RoadToRenewal.org and pray the Prayer for Renewal regularly.
